Chef John Harder is originally from San Diego, CA.  He grew up cooking at home with his mother and grandmothers.  Once he decided that he wanted to be a chef, he worked through several restaurants in the area, before he settled into a local casino.  At the casino he underwent a 2 year long ACF certified Culinary Apprenticeship, working through all the kitchens on the property as well as attending weekly classes.  He graduated at the top of his class, and was soon promoted to Chef de Partie of the steakhouse, where he worked until coming to Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, in June of 2011.  John was part of the opening team at the Skybox Sports Bar, then took over as the Chef of the Sundance Grill. He then worked through all the kitchens on the property before settling in as the new Chef de Cuisine of the Final Cut in early November of 2012.
